Beihuokui
This was an exhibition that took place entirely on ebay. My process was as follows: I used other peoples’ images (ones that they had put on ebay to sell the items depicted in them.) I then re-posted the same images under auctions for just the pictures. When the auctions ended, I took a screen capture of the image, the auction text and the “gold frame” that I had selected from ebay’s possible auction themes. I had the screen captures made into C-Prints and sent them to the auction winners.
I still love these images, but I only got to see them as hard-copies in the brief period between getting them back from the printer and shipping them out to the buyer. They were really beautiful and I’ve always wished I had one for myself.
